What I have been doing these last few weeks
I have been doing more knitting than knotting lately.....mainly because the white jumper had to be finished by Christmas...as it's for my Swedish grandaughter who is visiting then.......
I'm quite pleased with the result after starting it 3 times before I got the right thickness.......
first start with 3 strands of double knit...too thick!
second start with 2 strands of chunky...too thick!
final start with 2 strands of double knit.....just right for a warm jumper.
Knitted and finished it in just less than 2 weeks!

A couple of knotties too
Before I went away, I made this little beaded bracelet, using a thin hemp thread which I purchased at a craft show a few weeks ago.
Also used a clasp fastening for the first time, so it might not be expertly finished!
Then this morning I found a short left over cord and made a Dragonfly keyring.....

Cardigan finished
Not posted for a while, as I've been away on holiday, but my knitting and knotting has not been forgotten.

Grown a sleeve now.
My cardigan has now grown a sleeve
Progressing nicely.....and the second sleeve has already grown since this photo was taken.
Knotty projects this week.
A simple adjustable bracelet.....and below is a bead one.....quite a soft one as the thread is cotton.

Side knot bracelet project
My Knotty bit this week.
One of the patterns in my magazine turned out like this......quite a pleasing effort, I thought!

I have also been knotting
I bought a Paracord magazine which had some "free" cord and buckles.........so this is what I have done with one bit.
It is the first time I have used a buckle....have been struggling with end loops and knots before.......I may have to re do it as I think the loop is in the wrong place at one end of the buckle.

This is the sweater which I have just finished knitting for my husband. It is a sort of "Designer" knit, as I did not have any proper pattern to follow.
The basic pattern is 7 and 1 stitch which makes the down stripes. This was taken from an old 1950's knitting book...for a sleeveless pullover which was a 7 and 2 stitch.
Therefore I had to make up the sleeves and shaping for them.
It is not excellent, but my husband likes it.

Some more of my macrame creations.
Square knotting with beads
Square knotting with added cross overs.
None of this is perfect yet, as I have only been learning and attempting Macrame for a few weeks.
